These are the most important points generally to get an A*
- Use analytical phrases to make what you are writing more effective and more concise.
- Use a wide range of challenging vocabulary.
- Use writing devices to make your piece more interesting and original e.g. Metaphor, Simile
- Use short well selected quotes that back up your points.
- Use punctuation effectively to make the paragraph flow.
Personally the most important points for me are:
- To improve on my punctuation so that I use commas and full stops in the right place, this will hopefully improve my general writing and make my essay’s better quality.
- To include paragraphs into my piece as I often forget which results in one big jumble of words.
- To keep increasing my vocabulary so I am able to use extensive and impressive vocabulary.
- To keep reading as it gives you many ideas and inspirations for creative writing and essays and it also makes you all round better at English.
